Nursing Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to work in our medical surgical department.
The successful candidate will have the following responsibilities:
- Deliver direct and indirect care to patients through assessment, planning, intervention, implementation, and evaluation.
- Interact with patients, significant others, and other healthcare team members to coordinate total patient care.
- Maintain professional and unit-specific standards of care.
Requirements:
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing Program.
- Current valid license to practice nursing in North Carolina.
- Previous experience in medical-surgical nursing is preferred.
The ideal candidate will have thorough knowledge of:
- Patient assessment techniques.
- Treatment techniques.
- Operation and maintenance of equipment, including IV pumps, computer terminals, printers, and fax machines.
Additionally, they will have knowledge of current hospital emergency policies and procedures, including CPR, fire safety, disaster, and infection control policies. Excellent communication and administrative skills are necessary.
