Job Summary
The End Dump Operator is responsible for assisting Superintendents & Foremen and following all site health and safety regulations. A positive attitude, strong work ethic, and attention to detail are essential.
Key Responsibilities
- Follow project instructions from the construction manager or supervisor.
- Operate a variety of tools and equipment while adhering to all safety protocols.
- Drive a truck equipped with a dump body to transport materials such as rock, asphalt, or other materials to various parts of the job.
- Perform daily truck equipment inspections and ensure all required safety equipment is functioning properly.
- Complete a written daily inspection report as required and submit requests for maintenance for any repair items.
- Clean up the worksite when the project is complete.
Required Skills and Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you must:
- Be at least 18 years old.
- Hold a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Have a basic understanding of construction principles and procedures.
- Be able to physically stand, bend, squat, and lift up to 40 pounds.
- Able to work independently or as an active member of a team.
- Work in an outdoor setting which may involve inclement weather, heat, and humidity, as well as exposure to dust and asphalt.
- Be willing to travel out of town and/or work overtime.
