What are the responsibilities and job description for the Barista/Bartender Jazzy's Cafe position at Hughes Group LLC?
We are looking for an engaging, courteous Barista who is passionate about food and beverage preparation. The Barista will greet customers, answer their questions, take orders, accept payments, and prepare and serve food. (Sandwiches, Soups, ect.) and drinks. You will also maintain a clean and well-stocked workspace and dining area, update displays, and continuously expand your knowledge of food and beverage quality controls, preparation methods and presentation. To succeed as a barista, you should be committed to providing customers with excellent service. Be positive, friendly, knowledgeable, and polite. Our Cafe does serve alcohol. Bartending experience is highly preferred but having/maintain a MAST Permit is required.
Responsibilities:
- Welcome customer, informing them about specials, latest items, answering questions and accepting payments.
- Preparing foods, such as sandwiches, grinding and blending coffee beans, brewing coffee and tea and serving items to customers.
- Cleaning and restocking, dining areas, empty trash, sanitizing equipment and utensils.
- Learning about brewing methods, beverage blends, food preparation, and presentation techniques to improve food quality.
- Updating signage and displays to attract customers.
- Taking inventory and replenishing items in display cases, table and behind the counter.
- Work as part of a fun, highenergy team adhering to all food safety regulations and quality controls.
- Help to keep social media updated, and creatively coming up with ideas to reach out to new customers.
Barista Requirements:
- Current MAST Permit and Food Handlers Card (REQUIRED)
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience in food and beverage preparation or customer service preferred.
- Training and willingness to continue learning about food and beverage preparation. Exceptional listening and communication skills.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to walk, bend, and stand for extended periods.
- Availability to work around peak hours, including nights, early mornings, weekends, and holidays.
Job Type:
- Parttime Pay $16.50$18.00 per hour DOE
- Supplemental pay types: Tips
- Shift Availability: MondayFriday 7:00am2:30pm Occasional weekends for events.
Salary : $17 - $18
