Job Title: Landscape Laborer
Reports to: Landscape Maintenance Lead
Location: HQ, Tacoma, WA
Schedule: Monday - Friday
Hours: 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Description: We are looking for a hardworking and self-motivated Landscape Laborer to maintain the grounds of property. You will be maintaining attractive, orderly, and a healthy outdoor environment by performing a variety of tasks, which may include any combination of the following: sod laying, mowing, trimming, planting, watering, fertilizing, digging, raking, and sprinkler installation.
Tasks and Responsibilities:
- Operate vehicles or powered equipment, such as mowers, tractors, twinaxle vehicles, snow blowers, chainsaws, electric clippers, sod cutters, or pruning saws.
- Prune or trim trees, shrubs, or hedges, using shears, pruners, or chain saws.
- Mix and spray or spread fertilizers, herbicides, or insecticides onto grass, shrubs, or trees, using hand or automatic sprayers or spreaders.
- Care for established lawns by mulching, aerating, weeding, grubbing, removing thatch, or trimming or edging around flower beds, walks, or walls.
- Follow planned landscaping designs to determine where to lay sod, sow grass, or plant flowers or foliage.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of 2 years of experience as a landscaper.
- Operation and control of equipment and systems.
- Must be authorized to work in the US.
- Must pass a background check.
- Irrigation knowledge.
- Spanish speaking bilingual (preferred).
Education:
- A minimum of 2 years of experience as a landscaper (preferred).
- HS Diploma or GED Equivalency.
Physical Requirements:
- Able to lift carry, push, pull up to 50lbs.
- Ability to stand on feet for extended periods of time.
Mental Requirements:
- Ability to read and understand simple instructions relating to the field of expertise.
- Ability to properly speak and have command of the language to communicate effectively.
Environmental Requirements:
- Ability to work in harsh weather conditions if applicable.
