The Senior Project Engineer position includes regular travel to project sites.

Essential Responsibilities
- Support project managers in managing proposals, drafting meeting minutes, contract creation, and client reporting documents.
- Support project managers in creating and updating of project budget and schedules.
- Manage document control, change order, monthly invoicing, tenant improvement allowance reimbursement and project close-out processes in conjunction with project managers.
- Day-to-day involvement in multiple ongoing complex construction projects.
- Interface with Hughes Marino project managers, clients and brokers on new project requirements.
- Actual compensation within $80,000 - $110,000 range will be dependent upon the individual's skills, experience and qualifications. This range includes base salary only and is not reflective of a total compensation package. The range is a good faith estimate and Hughes Marino reserves the right to make adjustments based on candidate's work experience, location and skills.
Desired Skills and Experience
- Applicants should be highly proficient in Blue Beam, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word and Microsoft Project.
- Applicants should possess a strong tendency towards leadership and an understanding of the design, permitting, bidding, construction and closeout process.
- Experience with invoice processing, schedule and budget creation and updates, and meeting minutes is required
- Must be a self-starter and possess a strong ability to handle multiple tasks at once and meet deadlines.
- Must be able to manage time effectively and adapt quickly to changing priorities.
- Experience with tenant improvement projects is required.
Qualifications
- Must be a local candidate and will be based out of our beautiful Orange County office if selected.
- This position involves a combination of in-office and onsite work.
- The ideal candidate will have 1-4 years of experience in the construction industry, preferably as a Project Engineer or Sr. Project Engineer.
- Bachelor's degree from a four-year college required, preferably in a related field.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, polished and a proud representative of the Hughes Marino brand.
- Travel as required to support client projects.
Salary : $80,000 - $110,000
