Maintenance Technician – 1st Shift : Rockford, IL
We are seeking a dedicated Maintenance Technician to support our client’s Preventative Maintenance program. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical background, excellent troubleshooting skills, and a commitment to maintaining high safety and quality standards. Key Responsibilities :
- Analyze and troubleshoot equipment issues, making necessary repairs
- Perform mechanical maintenance and repairs on production machinery and facility support equipment
- Inspect, operate, and test machinery to diagnose malfunctions and validate repairs
- Follow all safety protocols, including Lock-out / Tag-out procedures, GMPs, and OSHA standards
- Develop sustainable solutions for equipment and mechanical system issues
- Complete assigned work orders efficiently, maintaining detailed records
- Assist with equipment changeovers and line startups, troubleshooting as needed
- Manage parts inventories and reorder lists
- Ensure all products meet the highest quality standards
- Participate in Continuous Improvement initiatives and team projects
- Support facility maintenance, including operation and maintenance of steam boilers, water chillers, cooling towers, well pumps, HVAC, and other plant utility equipment
- Maintain excellent written and verbal communication skills for data collection and reporting

Pay : $23.00 / hour - $28.00 / hour, based on experience
Type : 1st shift, full-time, onsite
Schedule : Monday – Friday 6 : 00 a.m. – 2 : 30 p.m., OT, weekends, and holidays as needed
