Part-time Container Unloader- Temporary: Rockford, Illinois
We are seeking a Part-Time Container Unloader to join our client’s team in Rockford, Illinois. The ideal candidate will be responsible for unloading containers and assisting with warehouse tasks as needed.
Responsibilities of the Container Unloader:
- Unload containers of goods in a safe and efficient manner.
- Inspect goods as they are unloaded to ensure proper condition and accuracy.
- Sort and organize products for storage or further processing.
- Assist in staging products for loading and shipment.
- Operate material handling equipment (pallet jacks, hand trucks, etc.) as needed.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace.
- Follow safety protocols and warehouse procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
- Assist with additional warehouse tasks, including stocking and inventory management, as required.
Container Unloader Requirements and Qualifications:
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Previous warehouse or manual labor experience preferred but not required.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to identify discrepancies or damages.
- Good communication skills and ability to follow instructions.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends or evenings if needed.
- Reliable and punctual attendance is essential.
Pay for Container Unloader: Starting at $16 / hour.
