Machine Operator / Floater : Loves Park, Illinois
Our customer in Loves Park, Illinois is seeking motivated individuals to join their team. We’re recruiting Machine Operator / Floaters to work full-time on 1st shift. As a Machine Operator, you will be responsible for inspecting and receiving tool shipments, organizing tools and materials in the warehouse, operating various machines including CNC machines and bandsaws, and ensuring quality production and safe handling throughout the process.
Responsibilities of the Machine Operator / Floater :
- Inspect and receive tool shipments, ensuring tools, components, and materials are correct and undamaged.
- Properly organize tools, equipment, and supplies in the warehouse, ensuring accessibility and accurate storage.
- Track inventory levels, maintain records, and assist in reordering tools and materials as necessary.
- Properly label tools and equipment to ensure they are easily identifiable and accessible.
- Safely package tools and parts for shipment to clients or other departments.
- Prepare necessary shipping documents (e.g., invoices, packing slips, bills of lading) and coordinate with couriers or delivery services.
- Inspect incoming tools and equipment for quality, damage, and correct specifications.
- Set up and operate CNC machines, lathes, mills, grinders, and other precision machining equipment to create or modify parts.
- Install and adjust tools, fixtures, and machine settings to meet job specifications and tolerances.
- Perform milling, turning, drilling, and other machining operations to fabricate metal, plastic, or composite parts.
Machine Operator / Floater Requirements and Qualifications :
Pay for Machine Operator / Floater : Starting at $16-18 / hour.
Machine Operator / Floater Benefits :
Type : 1st Shift, Full-time
Schedule : Monday - Friday from 7 : 00am-3 : 30pm or 6 : 00am-2 : 30pm or 8 : 00am-4 : 00pm. Could work various hours.
