Material Handler : Second Shift - Beloit, Wisconsin

Our customer in Beloit, Wisconsin is seeking dedicated and reliable individuals to join their team as Material Handlers on 2nd shift. This full-time position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with strong organizational and physical skills to contribute to the efficiency and success of the company.

Job Overview : Under the direction of the Warehouse Supervisor, the Material Handler is responsible for moving, storing, and organizing materials within the warehouse and shipping areas. This role involves ensuring timely and accurate delivery of materials to production and shipping departments, maintaining inventory, and assisting with daily operations.

Key Responsibilities :

Safely operate forklifts and other material handling equipment to move and store materials within the warehouse.
Load and unload trucks, ensuring that products are handled carefully to prevent damage.
Organize materials in designated storage areas, ensuring materials are accessible and correctly identified.
Verify inventory levels and assist in tracking material usage and movement throughout the warehouse.
Assist with daily inventory checks and ensure that products are properly stored and labeled.
Support the preparation and shipping of products by staging, labeling, and organizing shipments.
Ensure proper documentation of shipments, including Bills of Lading, Packing Slips, and other related paperwork.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the warehouse, ensuring that materials are stored in a safe and orderly manner.
Assist in managing scrap materials and ensure that scrap trailers are scheduled and loaded appropriately.
Communicate material handling needs to supervisors and other team members as required.
Participate in warehouse safety and housekeeping programs to maintain a clean and safe working environment.
Willingness to work overtime and be flexible as needed to meet production and shipping deadlines.

Requirements & Qualifications :

Education and Experience : High school diploma or equivalent required. Previous material handling or warehouse experience is preferred but not mandatory.

Language Skills : Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Must be able to effectively communicate with team members and management.

Mathematical Skills : Basic math skills, including the ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide, are required.

Reasoning Ability : Ability to apply common sense understanding to follow written or oral instructions and solve basic problems.

Physical Demands : Ability to stand, walk, and lift up to 50 pounds regularly, and occasionally up to 100 pounds. Must be able to use hands to operate tools and material handling equipment. Some bending, stooping, kneeling, or crawling may be required.

Other Qualifications : Ability to operate a forklift and other material handling equipment. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail are necessary. Must be able to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Work Schedule :

Shift : 2nd Shift, Monday to Friday

Hours : 2 : 00 p.m. to 10 : 30 p.m.

Compensation :

Pay Rate : Starting at $18 per hour, based on experience.
