Sanitation Supervisor : Dakota, IL
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Sanitation Supervisor to oversee all sanitation operations within our client’s food manufacturing facility. This role is responsible for ensuring that all production equipment, floors, and general areas are properly cleaned and sanitized in accordance with company policies and regulatory standards. The ideal candidate will lead and develop a team of sanitation employees, ensuring adherence to safety, quality, and sanitation protocols.
Key Responsibilities :
- Implement and maintain sanitation protocols, including Master Sanitation Schedule (MSS), Clean-in-Place (CIP) procedures, and Standard Sanitation Operating Procedures (SSOPs)
- Collaborate with the Sanitation Manager to establish sanitation standards and ensure compliance with food safety regulations
- Supervise, train, and schedule sanitation personnel to align with production needs and operational demands
- Work closely with production, maintenance, and quality assurance teams to coordinate sanitation activities efficiently
- Monitor and optimize the use of sanitation chemicals and cleaning procedures to enhance cost efficiency and effectiveness
- Identify areas for improvement in sanitation procedures and implement corrective actions
- Ensure sanitation processes align with regulatory requirements such as OSHA, FDA, HACCP, and GFSI standards
- Investigate sanitation-related issues, including environmental monitoring and root cause analysis of contamination risks
- Oversee sanitation documentation, verifying accuracy and compliance with company and regulatory requirements
- Assist in audits and implement corrective actions as needed
- Promote a culture of safety, ensuring all employees adhere to sanitation and workplace safety guidelines
