Role: Accounting Manager

Location: Rochester, NY metro area (Onsite 3 days per week)

Type: Full-Time contract | Immediate Start

Travel: Minimal

Compensation: ~$40/hour

Our client is seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to provide interim accounting support to two small companies while they onboard a new Controller. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled professional with a strong background in inventory and manufacturing accounting, as well as experience managing the monthly close process.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee and participate in the monthly close process, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
• Manage inventory accounting and work closely with manufacturing operations to support financial reporting.
• Assist the Controller with financial analysis, reconciliations, and reporting.
• Ensure compliance with internal controls, accounting policies, and industry regulations.
• Utilize and optimize accounting software, ideally MAS 90 and Siteline by Infor, to enhance efficiency.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with finance, operations, and leadership teams.

Qualifications:

• Experience: Proven background in accounting, with a focus on inventory and manufacturing.
• Software: Experience with MAS 90 and Siteline by Infor is preferred.
• Location: Ability to work onsite in the Rochester area at least 3 days per week and open to a few days of travel.
• Start Date: Immediate availability preferred.
