Job Type: Contract-to-Perm

Compensation: $40-45/hour

Our client, a leading manufacturing company in Aurora, IL, is seeking an experienced Accounting Manager in the area to step into a hands-on role. This contract-to-perm opportunity is ideal for a professional with a strong manufacturing background and expertise in cost accounting. The ideal candidate will have experience working in the general ledger and managing financial processes to ensure smooth daily operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and execute routine accounting functions, including month-end close processes, journal entries, and account reconciliations.
• Oversee general accounting duties such as accounts receivable, accounts payable, cash management, and fixed assets.
• Work closely with and provide leadership to two accounting staff.
• Ensure accuracy and compliance in financial reporting and analysis.
• Support cost accounting activities specific to a manufacturing environment.
• Actively manage and maintain the general ledger, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
• Utilize Epicor ERP system for financial processes and reporting.
• Assist with financial consolidations using OneStream.
• Work extensively with Microsoft Office products to support accounting functions.

Qualifications:

• Strong background in manufacturing accounting, including cost accounting experience.
• Proven hands-on experience with general ledger management and month-end close processes.
• Previous experience managing or mentoring accounting staff is preferred.
• Proficiency in Epicor ERP and OneStream consolidation software is a plus.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office products, particularly Excel.
• Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
