Full service veterinary clinic that is looking for an organized and enthusiastic Part-Time Veterinary Assistant.
Competitive starting pay ($15-17/hr), with great room for advancement. Part-time benefits are available, including uniform allowance, PTO, IRA matching, and discounted services and products. Starting pay is based on experience and education level.
Experience preferred.
Job duties: assisting veterinarians, communication with clientele, running lab work, ICU and Isolation patient care/monitoring, surgical preparation/monitoring.
Additionally, responsibilities will include cleaning, feeding, and walking patients.
Applicant must be able to lift up to 40 lbs by themselves. Hours are primarily Monday-Friday, with some Saturday am shifts.
Qualifications
- Veterinary experience
- Animal handling skills
- Knowledge of veterinary terminology
- Proficient in pet care and animal care
- Kennel experience is a plus
- Familiarity with animal husbandry practices
- Ability to administer medications to animals
- Previous experience in a veterinary clinic is advantageous
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour
