Job Summary
Sells company's products to new clients or assigned accounts. Visits clients, assesses client needs, improves brand awareness, and suggests appropriate products. Ensures effective implementation of marketing and sales plans. Responds to enquiries, negotiates sales, and concludes sales orders.
To manage and develop business at current and potential / targeted chain accounts to achieve maximum revenue growth and profitability. Penetrate account organizations beyond purchasing and into marketing, QA, R&D and Senior Management for the development of long-term business relationships that lead to optimal product and company exposure. Internally, work with management, supply chain, and other support functions (pricing, deductions, marketing, accounts receivable, credit, graphics, quality control, and manufacturing) to get the needed support to profitably grow and service the business in the Dallas territory.
Provide maximum sales return by driving productivity in sales process and through existing account management and incremental product placements at current and new accounts
Essential Functions
- Expand business within existing and new customers via capabilities presentations, personal visits, new product / concept presentations, trade conferences, phone / video calls, and other interfacing opportunities.
- Develop and implement a territory management plan for meeting division's sales and profitability plans against targeted accounts.
- Work to improve margin at existing accounts through design changes, product mix improvement, price actions, cost-out projects, packaging changes / enhancements and alignment with division's asset base and other profit improvement projects.
- Use internal systems to manage pricing, new product development, forecasting, and other account management duties.
- Work with internal departments and support functions (customer service, S&OP, pricing, deductions, marketing, accounts receivable, credit, graphics, quality control, and manufacturing) to get the needed support to profitably grow and service the business in the territory.
