Job Description :
This position is centrally based in the Kansas City region and requires extensive travel as needed throughout the US and abroad. The Field Service Technician (FST) main job function is to provide expert electromechanical service and packaging product line support for all customers internal and external. The FST is expected to learn Huhtamaki's and customers' manufacturing processes.
Specific duties include but are not limited to :
- Travel to customer sites to support packaging product lines, install, train, troubleshoot, repair and maintain a variety of forming and filling machines used in the manufacturing process
- Utilize machine manuals, technical documents, internal and vendor resources to research machine issues. Resolve those issues and answer customer inquiries
- Proctor formal technical training classes, customer and Huhtamaki employee training (both operator and maintenance)
- Verify machine functionality prior to shipment to customer
- All other duties as assigned.
