Facility Floater
Your opportunity
We’re currently looking for a Facility Floater at our Huhtamaki, Inc. facility in Andalusia, AL and you should be within reasonable commuting distance from here. You will be working Monday-Friday, 3pm - 11pm.
What you’ll be doing
- Observe all Huhtamaki safety rules and always use safe working methods and procedures to avoid injury, injury to co-workers, or damage to company property.
- Operate an electric pallet jack.
- Operate forklift as needed.
- Complete all job-related documents.
- Monitor case labeling and print quality.
- Assist in problem solving.
- Provide work breaks for inspector/packers and gluer operators.
- Operates a stretch wrap machine and stage finished goods in warehouse.
- Operate case sealer.
- Keep WIP pushed up to gluer and nester machines in Finishing Department.
- Sweep and clean work area.
- Wrap Finish goods and stage in warehouse
- Program customer information into Inkjet printers
- Use a computer and Zebra printer to make case labels
- Communicate effectively with supervisors, lead persons and operators in matters such as, but not limited to safety, quality, production, etc.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
What you’ll bring to the role
- Must have the ability to stand, walk and bend frequently during the shift
- Repetitive lifting of flat and folded cartons weighing 10-15 pounds per stack.
- Frequently lifting 50lbs, occasionally bending, stooping crouching, and climbing, frequent neck and trunk extension as associated with reaching above shoulders and frequent handling of supplies and tools overhead.
- Physically capable of moderate to light physical effort equivalent to frequently lifting or moving light to average weight.
- Candidate must have the ability to work in various ambient temperatures, climb stairs, bend, crouch, twist as needed all within the manufacturing environment.
