Folding Carton Lead Operator
Lead, train and direct the hourly personnel and activities on Zerand and Nlines within Operations. Will be expected to work overtime as dictated by business needs.
1.Champion company safety and quality culture, as well as Continuous Improvement programs.
2.Ability to perform all job duties of a machine operator and knowledge of the Make Ready Process on both Zerand and Nline Work Centers, track inventory of tooling and communicate needs for re-orders, ability to drill pin cylinders, nik and re-knife dies, and effectively trouble-shoot issues as they arise.
3.Ability to effectively train new and existing employees on machine operator job responsibilities using available training checklists, work instructions, procedures etc.
4.Support machine operators daily with their job assignments. Provide feedback on job performance issues directly to supervision.
5.Act as "go to" resource for process improvements, training projects across all departments inventory transactions.
6.Help supervision to improve operational efficiencies both work centers.
7.Assist, as needed, in assigning daily job duties and scheduling personnel to meet operational goals. Work daily with available staffing to operate equipment needed to meet production requirements.
8.Can effectively and independently provide leadership, help and support to machine operators when supervision is not present.
9.Ability to perform basic supervisory duties, excluding issuing disciplinary action, in the absence of supervision.
- High School diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to perform all job duties of a machine operator
- Demonstrated hands-on experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) preferred.
- Demonstrated hands-on understanding and experience with Huhtamaki software programs (Transition Works, word and excel) preferred
- Ability to actively communicate with employees at all levels
- Experience in process improvement programs preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks, adapt to change and support / lead manufacturing projects.
