Structural Engineer (Bridge) PE
Role Description : Huitt-Zollars has a great full-time opportunity for a Structural Engineer (Bridge) PE at our Houston, TX office. This full-time structural position is within our public works group and also provides the opportunity to support other disciplines on an as needed basis. HZ's portfolio includes prestressed, post-tensioned and conventionally reinforced concrete structures as well as steel structures.

Education : Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering (BSCE)
Duties :
- Technical and managerial responsibilities are dependent on experience level
- Apply prescribed methods and procedures in accordance with established criteria
- Prepare calculations in accordance with applicable design codes by following standard engineering practices and procedures within established guidelines
- Prepare detailed designs, plans and specifications for bridges and other transportation structures
- Manage all project aspects including scope of work development, fee development, and subconsultant management
- Assist business development and project pursuits
- Interact and collaborate with clients, owners and other highway disciplines
- Mentor and develop junior engineers
- Implement Huitt-Zollars' Quality Management Plans for project deliverables
