HukariAscendent is a Woman-Owned, Small Business specializing in comprehensive engineering and technical support services associated with commercial nuclear power and Department of Energy (DOE) nuclear activities.
We are seeking HVAC Engineers to support the Savannah River Plutonium Processing Facility (SRPPF) project.
Responsibilities :
- Conduct construction document reviews as required.
- Plan, organize, and coordinate mechanical engineering and multi-disciplined team / design projects while engaged in the planning, design and construction phases of engineering projects including project startup.
- Demonstrate design experience in the area of nuclear industry HVAC design work and design related codes and standards.
- Generate and review the accuracy of design / evaluation calculations, and specifications.
- Familiarity with computer aided drafting applications is required.
Work Location : Onsite GVL office.

Required Qualifications :
For all skill levels, must be a U.S. Citizen. Must have a working knowledge of Federal (including Department of Energy Orders), State, and Local codes and standards applicable to structural engineering design.
HVAC Engineer : Bachelor of Science in engineering with a minimum of 5 years’ experience (nuclear preferred) in design, estimating, specification preparation, construction document preparation, and related phases of engineering. Professional Engineer License preferred but not required.
Senior HVAC Engineer : Bachelor of Science in engineering with a minimum of 10 years’ experience (nuclear preferred) in design, estimating, specification preparation, construction document preparation, and related phases of engineering. Professional Engineer License preferred but not required.
Principal HVAC Engineer : Bachelor of Science in engineering with a minimum of 15 years’ experience (nuclear preferred) in design, estimating, specification preparation, construction document preparation, and related phases of engineering. Professional Engineer License preferred but not required.
