Staff Accountant- Hospitality

POSITION OVERVIEW : Salary $55000 per year to $65000 per year

Hybrid Position- Las Vegas NV

The Staff Accountant position is responsible for month end close, balance sheet reconciliations, analyzing / reconciling complex financial records and reports, monthly and annual reporting, as well as assistance with various audits, and other ad hoc projects. Additional tasks and responsibilities include oversight of Accounts Payable, reconciling vendor statements to AP subledger, and vendor management. It requires strong understanding of US GAAP practices, analytical abilities, problem solving skills, and a strong sense of ownership over their assigned tasks, duties, and responsibilities.

Core Duties and Responsibilities

• Ensures the integrity of accounting information by recording, verifying, consolidating, and entering transactions
• Directly involved with month-end and year-end close processes and tasks (i.e. journal entries, account analysis and balance reconciliations)
• Maintains and balances various accounts by verifying, allocating, posting, and reconciling transactions and resolving discrepancies
• Oversight of assigned accounts payable, vendor management and ownership of accurately recording cash transactions
• Assist with preparing financial statements and various financial reports
• Analyze financial information and summarize financial data
• Spot errors and suggest ways to improve efficiency
• Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls
• Ensure accounting objectives are being met
• Assist with financial statement audits, and other various audits as they occur
• Responsible for compiling reports utilizing Excel
• Additional accounting tasks / projects, as assigned
• Maintain all Company standards for performance and behavior
• Meets department productivity standards
