General Summary : This position is responsible for providing routine administrative support and technical assistance, working under moderate supervision.

Duties and Responsibilities :
- Prepares routine and special correspondence, reports, studies, forms, and documents
- Performs complex typing and / or word processing.
- Responds to routine written and telephone inquiries, forwards any inquiries beyond scope of responsibility to relevant professional or management staff
- Develops, coordinates and maintains record keeping and filing systems
- Develops special administrative analyses and summaries of various routine reports
- Operates and trains others in the use of office equipment; makes travel arrangements; codes, proofreads, sorts and collates; orders and maintains supplies; completes forms; may make, check and post entries
- Coordinates meetings, conferences and / or seminars
- Performs general duties such as answering telephones, picking up and delivering items, and substituting for other employees in assigned area
- May be required to assist with purchase requisitions and / or purchase orders
- May be required to assist other employees with computer-related work, such as entering data, completing on-line forms and tests, and printing out reports
- Performs other incidental and related duties as required

Educational Requirements :
High School Diploma or equivalent. Some additional relevant college courses preferred.
Required Certification / Licensure :
None required
Experience Requirements :
6 months general office experience
Knowledge / Skills Required :
Basic knowledge of office management principles and practices, and administrative procedures; basic word processing, database, electronic mail and spreadsheet applications skills; good written and verbal communication skills; entry ability to operate a multi-line telephone system; basic ability to implement new systems and procedures and to evaluate their effectiveness; entry customer service skills; detail oriented
Physical Demands :
The employee must be able to work in a standard office environment and operate a computer, and may occasionally need to lift and / or move up to 25 pounds.
Travel : Less than 5% limited travel
