Job Description
We are seeking a skilled and experienced HVAC Technician with EPA Section 608 Type II or Universal Certification to join our team. The ideal candidate must have at least two years of experience in air conditioner and dehumidifier maintenance, with strong troubleshooting and repair skills. This role involves installation, maintenance, and servicing of HVAC systems in residential, commercial, or industrial settings.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install, maintain, and repair air conditioning units, dehumidifiers, and HVAC systems.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot system issues, ensuring proper functionality.
- Perform routine preventive maintenance on HVAC equipment.
- Handle refrigerants safely and in compliance with EPA regulations.
- Test HVAC systems for proper operation and efficiency.
- Replace or repair faulty components such as compressors, fans, motors, and electrical controls.
- Read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
- Provide excellent customer service and communicate technical issues effectively.
- Maintain accurate service records and documentation.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- EPA Section 608 Type II or Universal Certification (Required).
- Valid HVAC technician license as required by state or local regulations.
- Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience in air conditioner and dehumidifier maintenance.
- Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, refrigerants, and electrical components.
- Ability to work independently and troubleshoot HVAC-related problems efficiently.
- Familiarity with HVAC tools, diagnostic equipment, and safety procedures.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience in both residential and commercial HVAC services.
- Knowledge of smart thermostats and modern HVAC automation.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $26.75 - $32.47 per hour
Schedule:
- Monday to Friday
- Weekends as needed
