Forklift Operator

Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Forklift Operator to join our dynamic warehouse team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating forklifts and other heavy equipment to facilitate the efficient movement of materials within our facility. This role requires a strong understanding of warehouse operations, mechanical knowledge, and the ability to perform heavy lifting tasks.

Responsibilities

• Operate forklifts and pallet jacks to load and unload materials from trucks and storage areas.
• Safely transport goods throughout the warehouse, ensuring proper handling and storage.
• Assist in inventory management by accurately picking orders and preparing them for shipment.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to safety protocols at all times.
• Collaborate with warehouse supervisors to optimize workflow and efficiency in operations.
• Perform routine inspections and basic maintenance on equipment to ensure safe operation.
• Support team members in various materials handling tasks as needed.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Forklift Operator or in a similar role within a warehouse environment.
• Familiarity with operating heavy equipment, including order pickers and pallet jacks.
• Strong mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot minor equipment issues.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting tasks, with a focus on safety and efficiency.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards of quality.
• Previous experience working under the supervision of a warehouse supervisor is preferred but not mandatory.

Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
