Accucare, Inc is seeking a FT/PT dayshift Respiratory Therapist to provide clinical patient services and support within the location. Services are defined as equipment delivery set-up and/or pick up in home, in office set ups and patient education. Monitor patients progress and usage compliances according to insurance guidelines and policies. The Respiratory Therapist will also be responsible for ensuring product specific and resupply request orders are facilitated correctly and efficiently. In addition, assists with and is responsible for all day-to-day activities associated with all requests for service, intake/ data entry, insurance verification, authorizations, compliance, follow up and patient balance collections. The Respiratory Therapist is responsible for ensuring operations are executed in a manner which maximizes effectiveness and efficiency, and complies with all legal and regulatory requirements associated with health care providers. The Respiratory Therapist also supports the Lead Respiratory Therapist in scheduling patients and any other needs from PAP Therapy patients. On occasion may be required to do On-Call.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

- Conducts patient assessment
- Maintains continuing education as necessary for performance of job responsibilities and as required for state licensure or certification
- Maintains documentation of all services provided and all work performed
- Maintains records and workspace in an organized, safe, clean, and neat fashion
- Maintains up-to-date licensure certification or other requirements per state law in the state(s) of practice
- Provides in-home and location visits with patients
- Supports orientation and training of other personnel at the direction of the General Manager and / or Direct Supervisor
Qualifications
Education, Credentials, Certification, and/or Experience:
- Completion of an accredited program/degree in respiratory care preferred
- Credentials as a respiratory therapist, Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) or Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT); RRT/CRT is preferred but other medical credentials may be acceptable (e.g., RN, LPN, LPV) depending upon state licensure laws
- Degree in respiratory therapy or related science is preferred
- Home respiratory care experience is preferred
- Maintain CEUs as required by state law, and if not required by state law, then maintain a minimum of 12 CEUs per year
- May be required to obtain license in neighboring states as required by service area of location
- Must be licensed in primary state of home office as required by state law and provide a copy of license to the location
- Comfortable using a computer for various tasks.
