The Company develops and manufactures acellular tissues to treat a wide range of diseases, injuries, and chronic conditions. Humacyte’s initial opportunity, a portfolio of Acellular Tissue Engineered Vessel (ATEVs), is currently approved for use in vascular trauma repair and is in late-stage clinical trials targeting multiple other applications including AV access for hemodialysis and peripheral arterial disease. Preclinical development is also underway in coronary artery bypass grafts, pediatric heart surgery, treatment of type 1 diabetes, and multiple novel cell and tissue applications. Humacyte’s 6mm ATEV for AV access in hemodialysis was the first product candidate to receive the FDA’s Regenerative Medicine Advanced Therapy (RMAT) designation and has also received FDA Fast Track designation. JOB SUMMARY:
The Supply Chain Intern will work closely with supply chain teams to support data collection and analysis, metrics development, and process improvement activities.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Lead the development of data collection and visualization activities to support Supply Chain metrics.
- Support Supply Chain metrics development and management.
- Collaborate with the Supply Chain teams on various projects and process improvement initiatives.
- Participate in regular meetings.
- Compile existing data from the supply chain operations team to determine the total volume of work completed during the prior day/week/month, etc
- Build this data into an easily accessible and refreshable report
- Simplify the process by which supply chain metrics are gathered and generated
- Savings, On-Time In Full, etc
- Optimize the process by which material that need to be transferred in from an offsite warehouse are identified
- Coordinate with the Supply Chain Operations and Bioprocessing teams to identify process improvement opportunities
- Other duties as assigned
- Current undergraduate or graduate student in a business, engineering, or mathematics discipline.
- Must be proficient in PC based computer systems with excellent skills in Microsoft 365, specifically Excel and Power BI.
- SQL experience a plus.
- Basic understanding of material and process flows.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Possess a positive roll-up-the-sleeves attitude and optimistic outlook.
- Strong ability to work in a fast-paced team environment with fluctuating priorities and demonstrated ability to collaborate within cross functional teams.
