What are the responsibilities and job description for the US Volunteers Coordinator position at Human Appeal?

As US Volunteers Coordinator , the successful candidate will play an integral role in growing Human Appeal's volunteer database in the UK and delivering the charity's volunteer projects, including volunteer recruitment and acting as a central point of contact / support for all volunteer needs, as well as exploring new innovative volunteer opportunities, and preparing volunteer resources. This role will be on-site.
WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS :
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to :
- Managing and supervising volunteers and Interns, including developing their skillsets, providing volunteer engagement initiatives, and promoting a positive working environment
- Actively growing Human Appeal's volunteer database in US including promoting volunteering opportunities, processing new volunteer sign-up requests from the Volunteers inbox, and conducting Volunteer Team Leader interviews
- Recruiting Interns for various departments to achieve additional manpower support, by preparing Role Profiles, posting job adverts and conducting interviews
- Preparing and keeping stock of volunteer resources, such as collection buckets, t-shirts, merchandise and donation forms, for all volunteering activities
- Acting as a central point of contact and support for all volunteer inquiries and support requests, including providing prompt and thorough responses and resolving any complaints
- Designing and delivering local volunteering projects and outreach programs to achieve increased public interaction with Human Appeal and improve local relations
- Management of all relevant data input and data management on Salesforce and AMS, (suppliers, invoices, PO, campaigns, correct labelling) to ensure information is reflected accurately with an audit trail in line with protocol.
- Exploring new and innovative ideas to maximize the potential of Human Appeal's volunteering programs
- Providing procurement support by obtaining quotes for; venues, coaches, AV, catering etc. ensure smooth running and value for money in relation to volunteer activities
- Organizing travel and hotels arrangements by contacting local / corporate providers / suppliers and maintaining good relations to ensure value for money, making sure travel needs are met to a satisfactory standard.
- Helping to grow the donor database of the charity by suggesting new innovative fundraising opportunities and helping to identify and manage regular and emergency campaigns that can be carried out in the region, through research and networking
