SUMMARY: The Outreach Center Cook will prepare and serve community meals at the Cloquet Outreach Center (ORC) multiple days a week. This role collaborates with HDC staff and ORC volunteers to plan menus, manage inventory, and support community engagement. The ideal candidate is organized, community-focused, and committed to food safety.
DUTIES:
- Prepare and cook meals for ORC guests, working with staff and volunteers to plan weekly menus.
- Maintain meal counts, track inventory, and assist with ordering and shopping for supplies.
- Support fundraising events and uphold health, safety, and sanitation standards.
- Complete required food safety training and certification.
- Work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while fostering positive community relationships.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience in food preparation and cooking.
- Reliable transportation, valid driver's license, and proof of insurance.
- Comfortable in a kitchen environment with the ability to lift supplies.
- Commitment to food safety and community well-being.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Active Minnesota Food Protection Manager Certification.
- Experience or knowledge in mental health and human services.
