What are the responsibilities and job description for the Behavior Intervention Technician position at Human Dynamics & Diagnostics?
Human Dynamics & Diagnostics is hiring for a behavioral technician in the Idaho Falls and Salmon locations to provide developmental services to children ages 3-21. This service utilizes direct intervention techniques to produce meaningful changes in behavior. Services are evidence-based and focused on skill development. Behavioral Technicians work with participants to develop independent living skills, increase social skills, improve peer interactions, promote self-regulation, and reduce challenging behaviors.
Applicants must be enrolled in a college program in a human service-related field and graduate within 18 months or have a bachelor's degree in a human services-related field but lack the hours of experience (1040 hours) to become an intervention specialist. Pay is $22 - $25 per billable hour based on the number of hours billed per week.
* This provisional position is intended to allow an individual to gain the necessary degree, experience, and/or competency needed to qualify as an intervention specialist within 18 months. Once experience, degree, and competency are gained there will be a pay raise.
Job Duties:
- Coordinate and maintain individual schedule through coordination with families.
- Provide direct 1:1 intervention services to individuals in the home and community (average 2 – 4 hour session per client)
- Achieve individual goals based on individual implementation plans.
- Provide transportation for the participant during scheduled sessions.
- Complete timely documentation in the electronic system following each session.
- Measure and report accurate data in the electronic system throughout each session.
- Teach and coordinate methods of intervention with family members or others who regularly participate in caring for the participant.
- Turn in hours verification weekly.
- Attend trainings twice per month.
Qualifications:
- Valid driver’s license
- Current vehicle insurance
- Current CPR/First Aid training (training resources available through HDD)
- Passing a Department of Health and Welfare background check
