Overview
We are seeking a skilled CAD Designer to join our dynamic start up corporation. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in computer-aided design and a passion for creating innovative solutions. This role involves collaborating with a senior engineer to develop detailed designs and specifications that meet project requirements. The CAD Designer will be responsible for producing high-quality drawings and 3D printed models while learning the industry of micro-light aircraft.

Responsibilities

  • Create detailed 2D CAD CFD testing and 3D model using CAD software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, and Inventor.
  • Assemble components into complete systems, ensuring accuracy and functionality.
  • Collaborate with senior engineer to understand project requirements and translate them into design specifications.
  • Conduct 3 D Printing and CFD modeling to evaluate the performance of designs under various conditions.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant codes and standards throughout the design process.
  • Prepare technical documentation, including assembly instructions, specifications, and reports.
  • Revise designs based on feedback from team members or clients to improve functionality or aesthetics.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in CAD technology to enhance design processes.

Skills

  • Proficiency in CAD software, particularly AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Pro/ENGINEER, and Inventor.
  • Strong understanding of system design principles and the ability to apply them effectively.
  • Prefer some Familiarity with codes and standards relevant to engineering design.
  • Experience in creating 2D CFD models for projects is a plus.
  • Understanding of FEA to assess design integrity under various conditions.
  • Excellent attention to detail with strong organizational skills.
  • Problem-solving mindset with the ability to think critically about design challenges.

Job Type: Contract

Pay: $26.76 - $29.59 per hour

Expected hours: 1 per week
