About the role
The Integrated Communications Director is a key driver of Human Interest's mission to make financial independence accessible to all. This role is responsible for elevating Human Interest's profile within the industry, creating broad awareness of our innovative solutions, and positioning the company as a leader in the financial wellness space. By managing external public relations initiatives and collaborating with internal teams, including Product, Operations, and Planning, this role ensures that our brand is amplified through compelling communications, unique customer insights, and impactful storytelling. Additionally, this role supports content operations and compliance coordination, ensuring that all materials align with our brand voice and strategic objectives.
What you get to do every day
- Manage relationships with external PR agencies to drive strategic initiatives and secure media placements that amplify Human Interest's thought leadership and brand awareness.
- Develop and execute communication plans aligned with marketing campaigns and corporate objectives.
- Coordinate media requests, draft press releases, and prepare executives for interviews and public appearances.
- Plan and develop news releases by conducting in-depth research within the organization, preparing briefs, and drafting content in collaboration with Product, Operations, and Planning teams.
- Create briefing materials for executives ahead of media availability to ensure alignment and preparedness.
- Oversee content archiving to ensure all materials are organized and easily accessible.
- Coordinate with compliance teams to ensure all communications meet regulatory standards.
- Conduct ad hoc content reviews and provide copyediting support as needed.
- Other duties as assigned.

Compensation - The base salary for this position spans $155,000- $175,000 and represents the minimum in our lowest geographic region to a maximum in our highest geographic region. The salary that we offer to a new employee within this range is based on their location within the US, their relevant job-related skills, and experience.
