What are the responsibilities and job description for the Accountant position at Human Resource Development Foundation, Inc.?
- Responsible for monitoring financial records of all corporations. Report all financial weakness to Finance Managers.
- Responsible for arranging audits of all corporations.
- Reviews audits for findings that may require corrective action. Report all findings to Finance Managers.
- Report all audits to the corporate(s) Secretary/Treasurer.
- Research for potential grant funding for all corporations.
- Prepare grant funding proposals.
- Assist preparing tax credit application(s).
- Responsible for opening all new accounts.
- Reviewing all accounts and prepares financial reports as required on all accounts.
- Accountability for all major deposit accounts.
- Responsible for CD deposits and accountability.
- Responsible for meeting federal and state tax and non-profit regulations.
- Knowledge of CFRS/OMB.
- Performs other fiscal duties as required by the Finance Managers.
Qualifications
Must have a Bachelor’s Degree in accounting or a minimum of 10 years experience in accounting. Must be able to type 35-40 words per minute with five errors or less, file accurately, and perform accurate mathematical functions. Two years of double entry accounting and two years of computerized accounting are required. This position is classified as "sedentary work" by the Dictionary of Occupational Titles; therefore, individuals employed in this position must be able to lift a maximum of 10 pounds with or without an accommodation. Must possess the required minimum traits to meet the responsibilities of the position described herein. Must possess a valid driver’s license and have adequate transportation to perform this job. Adequate transportation is defined as 1) personal ownership of a reliable vehicle, or 2) the leasing of a vehicle.
