Human Resource Dimensions has been engaged to place a Human Resource Manager (temp to perm) for a growing industrial client in Sarasota, Florida. We are seeking a hands-on leader who can manage all aspects of HR, from onboarding to exits, benefits administration to training, and strategic initiatives to improve team member retention. The ideal candidate will be a proactive problem solver, adept at navigating complex HR challenges, and dedicated to elevating our organization's overall customer service and team member experience. This role is on-site every day.


Essential Functions

Talent Acquisition and Onboarding

  • Oversees and supports the hiring managers to develop recruitment strategies that attract top talent.
  • Manages job description, job posting, and pre-employment screening processes.
  • Development of employment documentation (offers, promotions, transfers).
  • Supports the selection process to ensure job candidates are a cultural fit and serves as the gatekeeper for the organization in regard to protecting the culture.
  • Partners with 3rd party vendor to deliver a best-in-class orientation and onboarding process for all new hires, ensuring new hires feel welcomed, informed, and equipped for success from day one.
  • Reviews, develops, and evolves new hire orientation materials and processes, while identifying and driving opportunities to create improvement and efficiencies.


Performance Management

  • Drives performance management initiatives, including disciplinary, feedback, and coaching processes.
  • Provides guidance and support to managers and team members on performance-related matters, fostering a culture of continuous feedback and development.
  • Consults with Managers on performance improvement plans, coaching, and team member discipline.
  • Provide expert guidance on complex HR matters, manages all investigations, and develops resolution strategies.


Talent Development

  • Collaborates with key stakeholders to design and implement career development programs, training initiatives, and learning opportunities.
  • Supports team members in identifying career paths and growth opportunities within the organization.
  • Works closely with the leadership team to assess and address any gaps in HR processes and practices, ensuring continuous improvement.


Team Member Engagement and Retention

  • Develops and executes strategies to enhance team member engagement, recognition, satisfaction, and retention.
  • Conducts regular surveys (new hire, annual, and exit) and feedback sessions to gauge team member sentiment and identify areas for improvement.
  • Drives action planning initiatives with Management team.
  • Creates content to effectively communicate HR-related news.
  • Supports communication initiatives during periods of organizational change, ensuring team members are informed and engaged throughout transitions.


Benefits, Payroll, and Compensation

  • Oversees 3rd party vendor with regards to the development, implementation, administration, and compliance of payroll processing and benefits programs based on overall company objectives. This includes:
  • Determination of benefit programs, offerings, and delivery of benefits.
  • Vendor Management, contract negotiations, and renewals delivery of benefits.
  • Prepare budgets, reports, and monitor regulations and market trends.
  • Team member communications and assistance with complex issues.
  • Manages the development, implementation, and administration of the annual Merit compensation program based on overall company objectives.
  • Weekly processing of payroll for 150 team members
  • Manages leave programs (FMLA) and partners with H&S on workers’ comp administration.


Policy Management and Compliance

  • Manages HRIS software, maintain team member records.
  • Development and implementation of policies/procedures and the Team Member Handbook.
  • Stays current on HR trends, industry standards, and develop, interpret, advise, and implement policies and procedures according to current federal and state laws and regulations and changes, as well as best practices.
  • Conducts and implements People Operations audit-related procedures and processes, and compiles HR related data as needed for internal and external reporting.
  • Handles all necessary federal and state as well as FMLA, benefit compliance audits and filings.
  • Develops and monitors HR systems, procedures, and personnel transactions.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources or business management, preferred
  • 6 – 10 years of experience managing Human Resource functions, including experience with staffing, employee relations, benefits/compensation, and organizational development and training
  • Human Resources Certification preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and develop Human Resources staff members.
  • Demonstrated ability to serve as a successful participant on the executive management team that provides company leadership and direction
  • Demonstrated ability to interact effectively with the company executives
  • Excellent computer skills, including MS Office
  • HRIS proficiency (preferred iSolve)
  • General knowledge of various employment laws and practices
  • Experience in the administration of benefits and compensation programs, and other Human Resources programs
  • Evidence of the practice of a high level of confidentiality
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Results and solutions-oriented
