What are the responsibilities and job description for the CDS Supervisor position at Human Resources Center of Edgar and Clark Counties?
Community Day Services (CDS)Supervisor is responsible for the daily operations of the Community Day Services Program, including, but not limited to the supervision of the direct service staff, staff schedules and ensuring staff coverage, route scheduling, CDS activities scheduling and implementation and the provision of direct service in staff absences. The CDS supervisor is a role model for staff and the individuals served in the program. The CDS Supervisor must complete DSP training.
JOB DUTIES:
1. Daily Supervision of CDS staff
2. Ensures weekly activity schedule is completed and implemented
3. Completion of weekly scheduling of CDS staff at least 4 days prior to beginning of work week
4. Provide coverage for CDS program including driving routes in staff absences
5. Maintains program compliance related to DHS-DDD accreditation surveys
6. Promotes CDS services through outreach and marketing
7. Ensures yearly DSP trainings are completed
8. Completes annual staff day/CDS closure/DSP training schedule
9. Facilitates annual CDS fundraising
10. Coordinates program coverage for respite activities with Respite Coordinator including staffing needs
11. Co-sponsor of the Consumer Council
12. Participates in the Behavior Management Committee
13. Facilitates and promotes relationships between guardians, family members, referral sources and HRC CDS
14. Maintains contact with CDS families and guardians
15. May be responsible a case load as needed
16. Ensures daily/weekly/monthly documentation and billing are completed
17. Recruits, interviews, hires once trained.
DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Bachelor’s degree in human service field or equivalent life experiences.
2. Ability to direct and supervise others and make decisions regarding program operations and implementation.
3. Ability to work as part of a team to implement programs and services.
4. Computer skills.
5. Ability to relate positively to other professionals, family members, and the community.
6. Basic understanding of DHS-DDD funded programs
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
1. High School Diploma or equivalent
2. DSP or ability to obtain
3. Experience working with individuals with Intellectual/Developmental Disabilities
4. CPR/First Aid certification or ability to obtain
5. Ability to pass background checks

Pay: $17.75 - $19.00 per hour
