MKRS Equipment Mechanic 1C
Primary Responsibilities: Repair and maintain company vehicles and equipment. Keep records of equipment maintenance and repairs. Proficient in the repair of gasoline and diesel engines and hydraulic systems. Must be able to read and understand schematics and have diagnostic experience. May do welding. Direct and train lower rated mechanics. Responsible for inventory of supplies and may initiate purchase requests. Direct and train lower rated grounds personnel. May direct crews at landscaping projects.
Essential Duties:
Service and repair company vehicles, equipment and small 2 cycle engines.
Analyze and diagnose the problem with vehicles or equipment.
Order and store parts and supplies; do inventory.
Schedule equipment for regular maintenance; keep a maintenance log.
May do welding.
Direct and train lower rated mechanics or personnel in the department.
Responsible for the proper use, maintenance and care of tools and equipment.
Keep garage and work area clean and organized.
Maintain mileage and fuel records.
Perform the duties of lower rated mechanics.
Perform duties following safety procedures and policies.
Assist in special projects.
Able to operate company vehicles and equipment.
Service homeowner vehicles, carts or moped, etc. primarily in the shop.
Follow both written and verbal requests from supervisors.
Complete work assignments in a timely manner.
Perform other related duties as assigned or required.
Other Duties:
Wash and refuel vehicles and equipment.
Assist other positions in the department.
May lead and direct a landscaping crew.
May service and repair hand tools and equipment.
Working Conditions:
Work in a covered garage that is open on one side.
Work outdoors in various weather conditions.
May travel throughout the resort to repair equipment.
Loud noise from equipment and fumes from fuel.
Work Hours:
Must be able to work shift and days determined by the Manager
Must be able to work over 40 hours per week as needed.
Equipment Use:
Utility vehicle to travel within the resort to check equipment.
Various hand tools to repair or service vehicles or equipment such as screwdriver, wrench, pliers, hammer, exact knives, chisels, come-a-long, shovel, etc.
Various hand power tools such as drills, power saw and grinders.
Must be able to operate department vehicles and equipment.
Pneumatic tools.
Mental and Physical Demands:
Ability to stand and walk while doing repairs, washing vehicles, inspecting equipment, getting tools.
Ability to work under vehicles; bends, kneel, squat.
Climb in and out of vehicles.
Lift, carry, and push/pull equipment or tools weighing up to 50lbs.
Communication Demands:
Must have the ability to communicate verbally to employees, manager, homeowners and vendors.
Ability to communicate over the phone.
Minimum Qualification Requirements:
Master Mechanic or equivalent in experience and knowledge.
3 years related work experience.
Driver’s License required to operate company vehicles/equipment; CDL, preferred
Able to read and understand manuals, instructions, etc. related to parts, tools and equipment.
Must have experience in troubleshooting and repairing all equipment and small or large engines.
Must have knowledge of common hydraulic system
Welding experience required.
Automotive Service Excellence Certificate, preferred.
Safely operate vehicles/equipment
Salary : $30 - $36
