HB General Maintenance Helper
Primary Responsibilities: Perform basic maintenance and repair related tasks to the trades. Assist higher rated maintenance personnel as necessary. Maintain hand tools. May do minor repairs.
Essential Duties:
Perform basic maintenance and repair related tasks to the trades.
Assist higher rated maintenance personnel as necessary or directed.
Perform assignments directed by higher classified maintenance personnel.
Perform routine repairs or preventative maintenance tasks assigned.
Clean, sand and oil woodwork.
Does minor repair and maintenance.
Perform duties following safety procedures and policies.
Assist in special projects.
Complete work assignments in a timely manner.
Perform other related duties as assigned or required.
Other Duties:
Care and clean all tools and equipment.
Keep work area clean and orderly.
Working Conditions:
Work in various areas throughout the resort in residential homes on property.
May work in small cramped areas, with no air conditioning or limited ventilation.
May work in high or elevated areas.
Work Hours:
Able to work shift and days determined by Manager.
May be scheduled more than 40 hours a week as needed.
Equipment Use:
Operate a company vehicle or utility cart.
Telephone or radio.
Ability to use various repair and maintenance tools and equipment, i.e., screwdriver, nut driver, wrench, utility knife, tape ruler, ladder, hammer, drill, level, safety glasses, gloves, paint brushes, toilet plunger, flashlight, head light, scraper, sander.
Company vehicles to travel throughout the resort.
Mental and Physical Demands:
Able to stand and walk during most of shift.
Able to bend, kneel, squat, climb ladder to do repair and maintenance work.
Able to lift, carry, push/pull up to 50lbs; move furniture or appliances, carry and load/unload tools and equipment.
Communication Demands:
Must have the ability to communicate verbally and in writing to employees, managers, homeowners and guests/clients.
Able to read work orders and repair/maintenance manuals.
Ability to communicate over the phone or radio.
Minimum Qualification Requirements:
Driver’s License if operating company vehicle
Safety operate vehicles
