100 Sails Greeter
Primary Responsibilities: Welcome patrons and seat them at tables or in the lounge. Insure quality and rapidity of facilities and services. Answer phone and assist in dining reservations. Proficient in the use of a computer for reports and dining reservations. Direct wait staff to insure courteous and rapid service. Resolve or assist in guest complaints. Assist waithelp in expediting service to guests. Perform other related duties as assigned or required by the manager. Notify supervisor/manager of any concerns during the shift.
Essential Duties:
Assist restaurant manager in overseeing the restaurant service staff.
Review daily work schedule and assign work stations. Preparing and posting floorplans and table set-up for respective meal period(s).
Review Daily Buzz report, event orders and reservations line noting VIP’s, special requests or occasions.
Ensure that the dining room has enough menus and wine/beverage lists ready for service. Ensure that they are clean and presentable.
Greet and welcome guests to the restaurant and seat them at the table or in the lounge, present menu and personalize the service.
Answer telephone promptly and assist in dining reservations, noting special requests or occasion.
Respond to guest requests or inquiry. Take all requests for reservations in accordance with SOP’s and educating guest of policies to expedite service, e.g. one check per party and room rental fees.
Maintain constant communication with supervisor/manager on duty and wait staff to ensure guest service.
Knowledgeable on restaurant menu items and hotel fact sheet.
Consistently perform tasks as specified on sequence of service standards and SOP’s.
Maintain a clean and orderly work area and dining room.
Thank guests upon their departure and welcome them back.
Perform other related duties as assigned or required by the restaurant manager.
Other Duties:
Knowledge of the Prince Waikiki branding, history and geography.
Maintain the cleanliness and adequate par levels of menus.
Assist waithelp in expediting service to guests or resetting tables.
Recommend the resort’s restaurants and facilities to guests.
Working Conditions:
Indoors in a specific restaurant(s).
Bar noise.
Work Hours:
Able to work shifts and days determined by the restaurant manager.
Able to work more than 40 hours per week when needed.

Proficient in the use of a computer for reports and dining reservations.

Minimum Qualification Requirements:
Department of Health TB clearance
I-9 requirement.
Must be able to read and write in English to perform job duties.
Must be pleasant, friendly and smiling.
Ability to multi-task.
