The Human Rights Institute at Columbia Law School advances international human rights through education, advocacy, fact-finding, research, scholarship, and critical reflection. Job Description:
The Human Rights Institute's administrative assistants should have an interest in human rights and social justice. They should have strong organizational and multitasking skills, and be able to work independently and follow through on assignments. They should also be able to handle confidential matters with discretion and good judgment.
Job Requirements:
1. Communications Experience: Responding to emails, drafting and editing documents, and preparing meeting agendas
2. Financial Experience: Reconciling expenses and managing budgets
3. Events Management Experience: Creating room reservations, ordering food, making run of shows, and contacting guest speakers.
4. Administrative Experience: Handling other office and institute related tasks as given by the supervisor.
