Description
The Assistant Director is responsible for the development, implementation and monitoring of all-Day Habilitation Service Plans (DHSPs). Ensures policies, procedures and documentation are in compliance with regulatory agencies including but not limited to MassHealth and CARF. Maintains up-to-date knowledge of all policies and regulations that affect the operation of the Day Habilitation program. Responsible for the supervision of direct care staff, daily activities and schedules. Communicates as needed with the Director of Day Habilitation as well as the Interdisciplinary team (IDT). Maintains oversight of the IDT process and ensures that IDT plans are being implemented as defined in the DHSPs and the Service Needs Assessments (SNA). Provides administrative supervision to the Interdisciplinary team members as needed. In the absence of the Director the Assistant Director is responsible for the daily and on-going operation of all facets of the Day Habilitation program.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
As the Assistant Director, you will ensure and safe guard consumer's human dignity, rights and liberties. As part of the Day Habilitation Program you will supervise the daily program operations, activities, and direct care staff to ensure compliance to service delivery, program schedules, standards of care and Day Habilitation Service Plans. The Day Habilitation Assistant Director serves as the Service Manager which mean ensuring compliance to Medicaid regulations. There are monthly, quarterly and annual reviews of Day Habilitation Service Plans which as Assistant Director you will participant in with the program's interdisciplinary team. In this role as Assistant Director you will be responsible to review payroll entries in time cards in an online platform. In addition to these tasks and others you will be expected to provide transportation of individuals as needed and as assigned in Minute Man Arc vehicles. Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
Valid drivers' license and satisfactory driving record.
Acceptable background check including criminal history background check.
Submit to pre-employment drug testing.
General knowledge of related clinical services.
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and apply common sense understanding to reach valid conclusions and to carry out instructions.
Demonstrated ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, policies, and procedures manuals.
Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from supervisors, consumers, family members, and co-workers.
Patience, empathy, and a genuine desire to serve and support individuals with disabilities.
Ability to write formal and informal reports and correspondence.
Demonstrated ability to work with minimal supervision and as a team member.
Education And Experience
Five years of professional, clinical, health-care or human services experience.
Two years of experience in health-care management of which one year is in a supervisory capacity.
Bachelor's degree in business management, human services or a related field preferred

In this role as Assistant Director, you will have approximately 10 - 15 direct reports.
