Working with an inter-disciplinary team of therapists, medical, direct care staff, and supervisory staff of the Day Habilitation program the Case Records Manager/Intake Coordinator is a non-supervisory position that supports the current and future goals and aspirations of individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. The Day Habilitation Case Records Manager/Intake Coordinator is responsible for all records to allow individuals to enter or maintain active participation in the Day Habilitation program.
This is a full-time position Monday through Friday 8am-4pm.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
Request and confirm receipt of all documentation for entry into the program; work with state agencies, state-funded programs, physicians, dentists, therapists and families to gather all relevant information prior to admittance into the program.
Familiarize and adhere to MassHealth program manual regulations and CARF standards in terms of record keeping and assisting the Service Manager and Director with system oversight.
This position requires an individual who can work at their own pace while also meeting targeted deadlines set forth by the Program Director.
Qualifications
Minimum of one year experience in a Day Services program as a Developmental Specialist or similar position for adults with developmental disabilities preferred.
Minimum of two years of experience and/or training with individuals with developmental disabilities preferred.
Behavioral experience including familiarity with the concepts, practice and implementation of crisis intervention and de-escalation. Training in Behavioral Interventions and Non-Violent Crisis Intervention to take place during employment.
