Job Description
Complete credentialing and re-credentialing applications for providers at HSMC’s client companies, monitor applications, conduct follow- up as required and report on credentialing status.
Maintain current and accurate credentialing data for providers at HSMC’s client companies, including but not limited to, certification, licensure, professional liability insurance, and Council for Affordable Quality Healthcare (CAQH) profile data, track and monitor status, and collaborate with providers to ensure timely renewals / attestations.
Assist with pre and post event tasks for training offered for Continuing Education by HSMC client companies to ensure compliance with the standards and criteria of the various credentialing entities for which HSMC is an Approved Provider / Sponsor.
Assist with program administration of university affiliated degree and Certificate programs for HSMC client company staff and instructors.
Other reasonably related duties as assigned by the Associate Vice President of Credentialing and Professional Education Compliance, Senior Vice President of Human Resources, and / or President.
Qualifications
EDUCATION
Bachelor’s Degree preferred. Associate degree with relevant training and / or experience required.
WORK EXPERIENCE
One year of experience in a credentialing, provider enrollment or contracting role preferred. Experience with Council for Affordable Quality Healthcare (CAQH) a plus.
COMMUNICATION SKILLS
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Certified Provider Credentialing Specialist (CPCS) a plus. Knowledge of credentialing software applications a plus.
