We are looking for an area supervisor who can work Monday through Friday, 7:30 AM to 3:00 PM.
The primary responsibilities of this role include:
- Willing to travel to Rochester as required (using a company vehicle).
- Monitoring site operations
- Overseeing workloads
- Reviewing preventive maintenance tasks
- Writing quote requests
- Conducting employee performance reviews
The ideal candidate should be proficient in Microsoft Office and have experience with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) software.
Must have a driver's license and pass a federal background check.

- Ensures contract requirements are met per the Statement of Work at each assigned site.
- Approves timesheets for all employees at assigned sites.
- Tracks actual labor hours and purchased supplies and compares to Cost Sheets for supervised sites and report variances to Regional Facilities Manager-FMS.
- Supports and assists with recruitment and retention activities for assigned sites.
- Provides on the job training to employees and monitors performance to ensure direct reports are competent or moving to competency in their assigned positions.
- Recommends promotions, demotions, and terminations based on employee performance to Regional Facilities Manager-FMS.
- Evaluates and documents employee performance as required by the company, AbilityOne, and NYSID.
- Manages staffing level on a day-to-day basis per plan. Responds immediately to unplanned absences and/or work fluctuations and notifies Regional Facilities Manager-FMS of continuing issues which effect contract performance.
- Notifies Regional Facilities Manager-FMS if customer is requesting additional work which is not required in the contract to be performed.
- Responds immediately to customer complaints, corrects the deficiency whether real or perceived, and informs Regional Facilities Manager-FMS of complaint, corrective action, and recommends long term preventive action.
- Actively participates in corporate safety by following all safety procedures, creating a safe working environment and practicing and training employees in safe and proper work habits and equipment use.
- Orders all supplies and manages inventories for supervised sites per the plan.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Regional Facilities Manager - FMS
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent and 5 years of relevant supervisory experience, or combination of education and work experience that is substantially equivalent to the above.
- Familiarity with MS Office products.
- Must have a valid Driver’s License, reliable transportation and have and maintain a driving record in accordance with Human Technologies’ Liability/Automotive Insurance carrier.
- Must pass any required federal, state, municipality, and/or customer-specific background checks.
As per NYS Law, the full salary range is $23.66 - $33.40 per hour. However, our Compensation System is designed to hire new employees between the rates listed above.
