We are seeking an accomplished technology leader to join the Humana Government Business (HGB) team as Associate Vice President, Software Engineering. In this role, your responsibilities will span a wide range of functions, including consumer, clinical, and provider-facing applications; enterprise data; business intelligence; and integrations. You will set the strategy and create the operational governance that will guide the efforts of the Software Engineering team and enable it to create value for the business and the consumers we serve.

You will report directly to the Vice President of HGB Information Systems and will lead a multi-level organization of 60-70 associates, including three Director-level direct reports. This position can be located anywhere within the lower 48 states.

Responsibilities :

• Work collaboratively with the Enterprise Solution Group leader, Product Management, and Chief Architect in establishing the vision for HGB's software architecture.
• Lead, manage, and grow a top-flight technology team responsible for the design, engineering, performance, security engineering, and ongoing maintenance of HGB's portfolio.
• Enhance recruiting, onboarding, and training programs to support the growth of our engineering organization.
• Identify and leverage top outside services talent to maximize business results.
• Ship high-quality Software-as-a-Service solutions by defining and delivering frequent and high-quality releases.
• Evolve the group's standards, policies, procedures, and key performance indicators to support activity and growth.
• Manage department finances by developing and monitoring departmental budgets and financial forecasts.
