The Political Action Committee Growth Lead defines, develops, and implements strategies that support the company's social responsibility objectives. The Political Action Committee Growth Lead works on problems of diverse scope and complexity ranging from moderate to substantial.- Lead, build, and execute – in partnership with Corporate Affairs leadership – fundraising strategy to grow Humana’s PACs, including annual strategic planning, PAC and political content development, event planning and execution.
- Design and oversee the execution of compelling fundraising campaigns, events, and targeted outreach in order to engage internal PAC-eligible associates and maximize the PAC’s financial capacity to support federal and state advocacy goals.
- Routinely analyze fundraising performance data to refine strategies and identify new opportunities.
- Create tailored recognition programs to enhance donor retention and increase contribution levels.
- Develop compelling messaging and materials to educate and engage Humana PAC-eligible associates on various elements, including but not limited to, the Humana PAC’s goals, bipartisan approach, and mission and governance. This could include materials such as one-pagers, FAQs, newsletters, executive talking points, website updates.
- Directly engage with PAC members and prospects, in individualized and group settings, educating and encouraging voluntary PAC membership through effective and non-partisan communication of its importance to the company’s public policy agenda.
- Work closely with the Vice President of Federal Affairs and the Vice President of State Affairs to develop a targeted HumanaPAC engagement strategy involving state and federal policymakers to accelerate associate support and interest of HumanaPAC. This could include in-person or virtual events that are issue-based or geographically targeted.
- Work closely with the Chief of Staff on Humana PAC operation and compliance tasks and other responsibilities as assigned. This includes also working with other senior members of the Government Affairs team to ensure coordination and alignment of record keeping of contributor and recipient records, including all necessary compliance and required filings are done in a timely and appropriate manner. As directed, support efforts to prepare comprehensive reports for internal stakeholder and, as applicable, materials for state and federal regulatory agencies.

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree
- 5-7 years of directly relevant and increasingly more senior professional fundraising experience, such an in-house corporate PAC; trade association or non-profit PAC; Congressional, presidential, gubernatorial or state legislative campaigns; or PAC consulting.
- Experience developing annual and/or election cycle fundraising plans with clear and measurable goals; defining strategies and tactics to achieve those goals; and proven success in executing those strategies.
- An understanding of FEC rules and regulations as they relate to political fundraising for corporations.
- Familiarity with PAC software and high proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
- Ability to excel in a matrixed organization; be self-directed; and have the skills and composure to work closely with senior organizational leaders, as well as a broader group of associates.
- Ability to fundraise in a bipartisan approach.
- Ability to be mindful of the federal and state political and policy environments and ensure fundraising strategies and message development is reflective of the national and state landscape.
- Excellent verbal and written communication, analytical, and organizational skills, including an ability to write well under deadlines pressures.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience and understanding of working on both the federal and state level as it relates to political programs and campaigns
- Experience with campaign compliance, preferably federal and state.
- Experience fundraising for campaigns and/or PACs with annual contributions exceeding $1 million
- Knowledge of health care issues.

The compensation range below reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full time (40 hours per week) employment at the time of posting. The pay range may be higher or lower based on geographic location and individual pay will vary based on demonstrated job related skills, knowledge, experience, education, certifications, etc.$114,400 - $157,300 per year
This job is eligible for a bonus incentive plan. This incentive opportunity is based upon company and/or individual performance.
