HumanEdge is seeking compassionate and dedicated Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) for a per diem night shift opportunity in an acute-care setting in Northwest Indiana. Under the general supervision of a Registered Nurse, the CNA will provide essential patient care, assist with bedside nursing tasks, and ensure proper documentation of care provided.
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct patient care, including assisting with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, feeding, and mobility support.
- Ensure patient safety by following protocols related to safe patient handling, infection control, and workplace hazard prevention.
- Adhere to facility standards for personal appearance, attendance, and punctuality.
- Assist patients with meal selections, ensuring compliance with dietary restrictions and preferences.
- Maintain accurate records of diet orders, patient preferences, and menu updates.
- Perform clerical duties such as answering phones, filing, and organizing office supplies within the Food & Nutrition department.
- Support trayline, food service aides, or catering as needed.
- Attend training sessions and departmental meetings as required.
- Active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license in the state of Indiana.
- Minimum of 6 months of CNA experience in a hospital, rehab, or skilled nursing setting preferred.
- Ability to work 12-hour night shifts on a per diem basis.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Understanding of HIPAA regulations and Joint Commission standards.
