Interventional Radiology Nurse: Norwich, CT.

Contract position to start ASAP -13 weeks with option to extend. Shift: 8 hour dayshift. Rotating evening and weekend on call.

Provides nursing care by assessing the patient pre-and-post- procedure and assisting the Radiologist in the various diagnostic radiology testing • Examples are: Interventional angiography, US guided thorocentesis / paracentesis, CT guided biopsies and any pt care needs that come up in the Medical Imaging Department. • Administer conscious sedation and other prescribed medication or pharmacological agents during and post Radiology testing. • Provides educational resources for patients
Degree from an accredited Registered Nursing program
1-2 years experience in Interventional Radiology Lab
Interventional Radiology procedures: Vascular cases, Ultrasound and CT scan Guided procedures; moderate sedation administration and monitoring
EPIC experience preferred
Critical Care experience a plus
Connecticut RN license or eligible
BLS (AHA)
ACLS (AHA)
Proof of right to work in the United States
English
