HumanHire is working with a rapidly expanding healthcare management organization with a strong reputation for innovation and excellence in search of an Internal Compliance Auditor for their growing team. This role involves auditing records, identifying inconsistencies, and recommending corrective actions to ensure compliance and prevent future discrepancies.

Pay : $70,000-75,000 / year
Location : Melville, NY
Schedule : Monday-Friday

Responsibilities :
Audit records to detect inconsistencies, discrepancies, errors, and issues with coding, billing practices, and documentation. Investigate discrepancies, correct errors, and suggest solutions to prevent recurrence.
Identify potential risk areas, develop audit strategies, request relevant reports, and recommend corrective actions based on findings.
Contribute to identifying issues and inefficiencies in project workflows, offering suggestions for improvements and resolutions.
Conduct follow-up reviews with departments to address unresolved issues and ensure adherence to compliance standards.
Collect, validate, and analyze project-related data, summarizing insights to support informed decision-making.
Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and best practices to maintain a high level of expertise.
Provide both in-person and virtual training sessions for departments as needed.
Qualifications :
Must hold one of the following certifications : Certified Professional Coders (CPC), Certified Coding Specialists (CCS), Certified Coding Specialists Physicians (CCSP), Certified Outpatient Coder (COC), Certified Professional Medical Auditor (CPMA)
Proficiency in Epic applications, Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and internal ticketing systems
Strong understanding of medical terminology, ICD-10-CM, CPT guidelines, and relevant regulations (NYS Medicaid, Third-Party, CMS).
