A Day in the Life of the CNC Router Operator:
- Operate CNC routing machinery to cut, drill, and shape sign materials including metals and plastics
- Interpret design files, blueprints, and production plans to ensure accurate output
- Organize and prepare materials for production jobs
- Inspect finished components for quality, accuracy, and durability
- Maintain machinery and perform routine clean-up and calibration
- Collaborate with the design and fabrication departments to bring signage concepts to life
- Safely connect and install LED lighting systems into routed sign faces or components
- Participate in team meetings and contribute ideas for continuous improvement
- High school diploma or GED required
- 1 years of experience operating CNC routers or similar machinery preferred
- Ability to read and follow technical drawings and instructions
- Strong mechanical aptitude and math skills
- Computer savvy, with experience using routing software or CAD a plus
- Familiarity with general shop machinery, tools, and hand tools
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong problem-solving and time-management abilities
- Must be dependable, punctual, and able to work independently
- Physically fit and able to lift up to 75 lbs
- Ability to stand or sit for long periods during shifts
