Part-time position in Springvale Senior Living, days vary between Cook and Dietary Aide based on need. 24 hours/week, 8 hour shifts, including every 6th weekend and rotating holidays.
As a Cook will be responsible for homemade meals for the residents, keeping the kitchen organized and clean. Cook work hour are 6AM - 2:30PM.
As Dietary Aide provides assistance to the Head Cook in preparing the noon meal, setting up the dining room, and cleaning of both dining room and kitchen. Sets up and leads the afternoon activity for the tenants. Dietary Aide hours are 7AM - 3:30PM.

Job Title: Cook/Dietary Aide
Primary Function and Relationship to Total Organization:
Cook - Responsible for making homemade meals for the residents and keeping the kitchen organized and clean.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Opening up the kitchen and dining room on cook days
- Getting breakfast items out for tenants on cook days
- Checking all temps (dishwasher/refrigerator/freezers)
- Noon meal preparation for approximately 50 tenants
- Assist in serving the noon meal
- Clean dishes from lunch
- Maintaining food and supplies
- Help with menu planning
- Assist with cleaning responsibilities
- Provide assistance to head cook as needed
- Cleans up and do dishes from breakfast meal
- Restock dining room from breakfast
- Cleans and sets up dining room for lunch meal
- Cleans up dining room after lunch meal
- Sets up and leads afternoon activity with the tenants
- Exceptional people skills
- Demonstrates cheerful attitude towards tenants, family members, and visitors
- Ability to work well with other staff members/work as a team
- Flexibility in work schedule and duties

Minimum educational requirements:
High School diploma required. Successful completion of BCLS within 3 months of hire.
ServSafe certification preferred but not required
Work environment:
