At Humboldt County Memorial Hospital, we are seeking an exceptional Human Resources Director to lead our HR functions. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for planning, organizing, implementing, and overseeing the hospital's HR activities to promote a positive and effective workforce.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage employee relations, payroll functions, compensation & benefits, recruitment & retention, onboarding new employees, and maintenance of personnel records
- Coordinate the hospital's job performance evaluation system through ADP
- Develop and recommend personnel policies, procedures, and programs to management, including compensation plans and employee benefits
- Administer annual performance and salary reviews, bonus and incentive plans
- Purchase and negotiate third-party benefit vendor contracts
The ideal candidate will possess strong interpersonal communication and listening skills, with the ability to prioritize and balance multiple tasks. Proficiency in computer software programs is also essential.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or equivalent related field
- Minimum two years' experience working in human resources, preferably in a hospital setting
- PHR/SPHR and/or SHRM-CP/SHRM-SCP certifications preferred
