Position Summary :
The Vice Principal plays a critical role in supporting the school's mission and vision by assisting the Principal in the overall leadership and management of the school. This position requires a dynamic and collaborative individual with strong instructional leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
Key Responsibilities :
- Instructional Leadership :
- Collaborate with the Principal to develop and implement effective instructional programs that meet the diverse needs of all students.
- Monitor and evaluate instructional practices, providing feedback and support to teachers.
- Lead professional development initiatives for teachers, focusing on best practices in teaching and learning.
- Oversee curriculum development and implementation, ensuring alignment with state standards and school goals.
- Student Support :
- Supervise and support student discipline and behavior management systems.
- Advocate for students' academic, social, and emotional well-being.
- Collaborate with counselors, social workers, and other support staff to address student needs.
- Oversee student activities and extra-curricular programs.
- School Operations :
- Assist the Principal in managing the school budget and resources.
- Oversee school safety and security protocols.
- Manage school facilities and ensure a safe and welcoming learning environment.
- Supervise and evaluate school personnel, including teachers, support staff, and other administrators.
- School Culture :
- Foster a positive and inclusive school climate.
- Build strong relationships with students, families, and community members.
- Promote a culture of high expectations and achievement for all students.
- Other duties as assigned.
